Basketball Recap: Grant Johnson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Houston Math Science & Tech

There's no place like home for Cesar E. Chavez, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers 53-39 on Wednesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-43 back in December of 2024.

Cesar E. Chavez's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grant Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Johnny Emanuel, who posted 14 points.

With the win, Cesar E. Chavez broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-14. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-18.
