Softball Game Preview: Crestline Bulldogs vs. Central Christian Comets

For the second straight game, Crestline will face off against Central Christian. The Bulldogs will welcome the Comets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Crestline has lost eight straight at home (dating back to last season), while Central Christian has lost three on the road (also dating back to last season).

Crestline is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Central Christian with a sharp 21-11 win on Monday. With that victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Addisyn Lavene made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on LaVanna Sanders, who went 2-for-4 with five runs, two triples, and two stolen bases. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kenidy Bedson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Crestline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Central Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Crestline, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
