Volleyball Recap: Vestavia Hills Falls Short Against Ranked Hewitt-Trussville

Vestavia Hills faced Hewitt-Trussville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Rebels fell 3-1 to the Huskies. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22.

Vestavia Hills' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 18-7. As for Hewitt-Trussville, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-6.

Looking ahead, Vestavia Hills will be playing in front of their home fans against Daphne at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Thompson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
