Baseball Recap: Resurrection Christian Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Resurrection Christian walked away with it. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Arvada Bulldogs a 15-0 shutout on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Vincent Fuller was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Charley Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Resurrection Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arvada only posted a batting average of .000.

The win (which was Resurrection Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 16-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Arvada, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8.

Coming up, Resurrection Christian will face off against Alamosa at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mean Moose have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. Arvada does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
