Soccer Recap: Lawson Takes a Loss

Lawson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hume-Fogg Blue Knights. While losing is never fun, Lawson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Hume-Fogg are ranked 27th).

Lawson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-2. As for Hume-Fogg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawson will welcome Antioch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hume-Fogg, they will host Sycamore at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
