Oswayo Valley kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Port Allegany Gators by a score of 17-15. The defeat means Oswayo Valley is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
For Port Allegany's part, Emily Errick was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Alayna McKervey, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Oswayo Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bucktail at 4:30 p.m. on April 5th. As for Port Allegany, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Otto-Eldred at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
