Baseball Recap: Shenandoah Beats Winchester Community for Their Fourth Straight Victory

It's playoff time, and Shenandoah had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Winchester Community Golden Falcons by a score of 6-3 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Collin Osenbaugh made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Osenbaugh wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Drew Fredenburg, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Shenandoah's record now sits at 19-4. As for Winchester Community, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-6.

Looking ahead, Shenandoah will take on Centerville at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Winchester Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
