Bonanza is 5-0 against Chaparral since November of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Bonanza Bengals will welcome the Chaparral Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Bonanza and four for Chaparral.

On Friday, Bonanza was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 34-30 to Amplus Academy.

Meanwhile, Chaparral was beaten by Mater Academy East Las Vegas 66-8 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Knights are ranked 17th).

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Bonanza, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Everything went Bonanza's way against Chaparral in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, as Bonanza made off with a 49-29 win. Does Bonanza have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chaparral turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
