Volleyball Recap: Palmetto Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Palmetto suffered their biggest defeat since May 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Mater Lakes Academy Bears, falling 3-0. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Bears when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Palmetto had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 25-21.

Palmetto's loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-7. As for Mater Lakes Academy, their record now sits at 9-5.

Palmetto didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against True North Classical Academy on the 3rd. As for Mater Lakes Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Sunset on the 2nd.
