Basketball Preview: Tree of Life Christian Trojans vs. Northside Christian Lions
Tree of Life Christian is 9-1 against the Lions since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Tree of Life Christian Trojans will be staying on the road to face off against the Northside Christian Lions at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. Tree of Life Christian will be strutting in after a victory while the Lions will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Saturday, Tree of Life Christian strolled past the Flames with points to spare, taking the game 37-18. Tree of Life Christian pushed the score to 35-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Flames cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Northside Christian, who are still winless after their 12th matchup. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 49-24 walloping at the hands of Delaware Christian on Saturday. Northside Christian has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their match on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Tree of Life Christian's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. As for Northside Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
Tree of Life Christian took their victory against the Lions in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 50-25. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tree of Life Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
