Basketball Game Preview: Hug Hawks vs. Wooster Colts

The Hug Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Wooster Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Hug turned things around against Sparks on Monday. They came out on top against the Railroaders by a score of 51-38.

Cori Carrier continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. Carrier is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Andrea Trujillo was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Wooster fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They strolled past Truckee with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 41-26.

The win got Hug back to even at 9-9. As for Wooster, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-11.

Hug didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Wooster when the teams last played on January 8th, but they still walked away with a 36-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hug since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
