Baseball Game Preview: Blake Bears vs. DeLaSalle Islanders

Blake and DeLaSalle are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Bears will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Islanders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. DeLaSalle took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Blake, who comes in off a win.

Blake is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against St. Croix Prep. The Bears walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Lions on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, DeLaSalle lost 12-3 to Delano on Thursday. The Islanders haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

DeLaSalle saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charles Gillette, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
