Volleyball Recap: Brynn Petner Key Part of Team Effort in Wildcats Win

Clovis proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Cavemen/Cavegirls: they've now won six in a row.

Clovis was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 18-25, 25-20, 15-8.

Clovis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brynn Petner, who had 17 digs and eight kills. Petner has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 15 times she's played. Sophie Roberts was another key player, getting 16 digs, eight kills, and one block.

Clovis' record is now 8-9. As for Carlsbad, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-13.
