Baseball Recap: Garfield-Palouse Takes a Loss

Garfield-Palouse had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 6-7-1 to make it four. They lost 13-3 to the Clearwater Valley Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-3 on Tuesday.

Garfield-Palouse saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eldyn Fiscus, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

As for Clearwater Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

On Clearwater Valley's side, the team relied heavily on Jake Fabbi, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Garfield-Palouse will face off against Tekoa-Rosalia at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings are facing the Timberwolves at the right time seeing as the Timberwolves are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Clearwater Valley, they will square off against Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
