Baseball Game Preview: Joaquin Rams vs. Woden Eagles

The Joaquin Rams will square off against the Woden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Joaquin is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Chireno hit Joaquin with a four-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Owls.

Brennan Kilpatrick was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out ten batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Kilpatrick was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

In other batting news, Karson Rogers made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Carter Graves was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Woden also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Shelbyville by a score of 5-1.

Joaquin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Woden, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
