Basketball Recap: Sahuaro Beats Ironwood Ridge for Their Third Straight Victory

Sahuaro posted their biggest victory since December 21, 2024 on Thursday. They blew past the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks 73-49. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-24.

Despite the defeat, Ironwood Ridge saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lucas Anderson posted 15 points and five rebounds. Carter Brown was another key player, putting up 13 points.

The win was the third in a row for Sahuaro, bringing their record for this year to 20-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points over those games. As for Ironwood Ridge, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.
