Softball Recap: Jesup Beats Anamosa for Their Second Straight Win

Jesup's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Anamosa Raiders a 5-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the J-Hawks.

Jesup's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Anamosa, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jesup will host Sumner-Fredericksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Anamosa, they will take on Camanche at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.8 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
