Basketball Recap: Chestatee Takes a Loss

Chestatee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Gainesville Red Elephants, falling 74-33. The War Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Red Elephants from their previous meeting back in December of 2020.

Chestatee's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Gainesville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Chestatee will take on Thomson in a tournament on December 27th. As for Gainesville, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against East Hall at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Gainesville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
