The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Senators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Bishop Manogue faced Reno in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Bishop Manogue had just enough and edged out Reno 8-7. The win was nothing new for the Miners as they're now sitting on three straight.

Bishop Manogue's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for McQueen, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8-1.
