Softball Recap: Dysart Comes Up Short

Dysart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-8 to the Yuma Criminals. The Demons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Criminals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

Reyna Rodriguez stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Brealynn Briggs was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Dysart's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Yuma, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Criminals beat Dysart by a score of 15-10 on Thursday.
