Westlake hadn't done well against Rouse recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Chaparrals walked away with a 2-0 win over the Raiders. Winning may never get old, but the Chaparrals sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Chloe Kelly paced Westlake's offense, picking up 11 kills. Kelly got some help from Kyrksen Cook and her 13 assists. Finally, Annabel McDuffee kept Westlake's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Rouse, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
