Basketball Recap: Fluvanna County Takes a Loss

Fluvanna County lost against Albemarle back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fluvanna County Flying Flucos were outmatched by the Albemarle Patriots and fell 78-38. While losing is never fun, the Flying Flucos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Patriots are ranked 22nd).

Fluvanna County dropped their record down to 7-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Albemarle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fluvanna County will welcome Orange County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fluvanna County is facing Orange County at the right time seeing as Orange County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Albemarle, they will be playing at home against Charlottesville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Charlottesville sitting on five straight wins and Albemarle on four.
