Volleyball Recap: Mercy McAuley Wolves vs. Ursuline Academy Lions

Mercy McAuley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Ursuline Academy Lions. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 23-25, 25-17.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lydia Sanders, who had 11 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Carter, who had six digs and three aces.

She wasn't the only good server: Mercy McAuley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2023.
