The win keeps South Bend Saint Joseph at an undefeated 12-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.3 runs this season. As for Elkhart, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Elkhart hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like South Bend Saint Joseph struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs.
