Preview: Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights vs. Grace Christian School Kings
The Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights will be playing at home against the Grace Christian School Kings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday.
Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 47-38 victory over Southampton Academy.
Charlie Potter was a one-man wrecking crew for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot as she scored 23 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Potter has scored all season. Avery Poore was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Grace Christian School was the victim of a tough 42-18 loss at the hands of Grace Christian on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Grace Christian School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while Grace Christian is ranked 102nd).
Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Grace Christian School, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
