Softball Recap: Bend Lava Bears vs. Summit Storm

Bend waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They never let the Summit Storm onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Bend might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Addisen Fisher made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Fisher has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Fisher was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Bryanna Schaefer was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Taylor Aldrich, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Bend has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Summit, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
