Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Makenzie Maxfield and Ryleigh Amato Lead Troy to Victory

Troy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Harmony Science Academy Tigers 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Troy took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-4, 25-14.

Troy was led to victory by Ryleigh Amato and Makenzie Maxfield. Amato had six digs and five aces, while Maxfield had three digs and two aces. Those five aces gave Amato a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Troy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.

Troy's record now sits at 21-10. As for Harmony Science Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
