Basketball Recap: Rangely Starts off Right with Win over American Heritage

Rangely had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past the American Heritage Patriots with points to spare, taking the game 53-38. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rangely to victory, but perhaps none more so than Miah Wren, who posted 13 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Wren has been hot for a while, having also posted four or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Miley Chism, who had six points in addition to nine boards and four steals.

American Heritage now has a losing record at 1-2.

Rangely wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 64-28 win against Intermountain Christian on the 7th. As for American Heritage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 34-22 loss against Manila on the 7th.
