Basketball Game Preview: Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks vs. Valley Central Vikings

The Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Valley Central Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Saturday, Newburgh Free Academy ended up a good deal behind Uniondale and lost 66-51.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Valley Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They breezed past Minisink Valley to the tune of 67-35 on Monday. The Vikings have beaten the Warriors the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Newburgh Free Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Valley Central, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Newburgh Free Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Valley Central in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 45-42. Will the Goldbacks repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
