Volleyball Recap: Santiago Cavaliers vs. Savanna Rebels
Santiago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Savanna Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.
While Savanna got the win, Santiago sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-18, 18-25, 27-25.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Savanna to victory, but perhaps none more so than Arden Pheng, who had nine digs. That's the most digs Pheng has posted since back in March.
Santiago's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Savanna, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santiago will host Century at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Savanna, they will take on Tustin in a tournament on Saturday.
