Soccer Game Preview: Leilehua vs. Pearl City

Leilehua hasn't had much luck against Pearl City recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Leilehua Mighty Mules will head out to challenge the Pearl City Chargers at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Leilehua's offense. They fell just short of Waipahu by a score of 1-0 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pearl City). They never let Wai'anae onto the board and left with a 9-0 win on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Chargers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Pearl City's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Leilehua, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7-2.

Leilehua might still be hurting after the 9-3 defeat they got from Pearl City when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Leilehua avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
