Football Recap: Cherokee Trail Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cherokee Trail can now relate to. They fell 14-7 to the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans on Friday. The contest was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Cherokee Trail still got an impressive performance from Logan Posey, who rushed for 117 yards.

It was another big night for Da'Kari Releford Jr, who rushed for 188 yards and one TD while picking up 11.1 yards per carry for Fountain-Fort Carson. Releford Jr's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards.

Cherokee Trail's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their record is now 8-3.

Cherokee Trail does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they will square off against Cherry Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins' defense has only allowed 8.6 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
