Football Game Preview: Dighton vs. Wallace County

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps national rankings, Wallace County should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Dighton at 7:00 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Wallace County got themselves on the board against Quinter last Friday, but Quinter never followed suit. Wallace County steamrollered Quinter 48-0. No one put up better numbers for Wallace County than senior Luke Johnson, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Dighton put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Triplains/Brewster to the tune of 47-0. The Dighton offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the matchup anyway.

Their wins bumped Wallace County to 2-3 and Dighton to 3-2. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Wallace County and Dighton will really light up the scoreboard.
