Volleyball Recap: High Point Academy Comes Up Short

High Point Academy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Chesnee Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

High Point Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-16, 25-19.

Addy Purser paced High Point Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Purser got some help from Davan Beall and her 18 assists.

With the defeat, High Point Academy broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 8-11. As for Chesnee, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4-1 record this season.

High Point Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Liberty on the 9th. As for Chesnee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Landrum on the 9th.
