Georgetown Day extended their postseason success on Friday against Georgetown Visitation Prep. They beat the Cubs by a goal, winning 1-0. That's two games straight that Georgetown Day have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Alexis Rayford, who's now up to ten this season.

Georgetown Day has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 14-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matchups. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they dropped their record down to 9-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Georgetown Day will take on Sidwell Friends at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Georgetown Visitation Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
