Softball Recap: Lassen Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

While Lassen's victory against Los Molinos wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Grizzlies had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 9-7. That's more bragging rights for the Grizzlies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lassen let Anarosa Rodriguez and Nalah Ackley run wild. Rodriguez went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Ackley went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave Ackley a new career-high. Lucy Olson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Lassen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Lassen is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Los Molinos, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-5-1.

Lassen has already played their next match, a 6-0 defeat against Red Bluff on the 26th. As for Los Molinos, they will challenge Redding Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
