Football Recap: Varnado Wildcats vs. West St. John Rams
Varnado was the 22-20 winner over West St. John when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Varnado Wildcats lost to the West St. John Rams at home by a 22-6 margin on Friday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West St. John found their leader in underclassman Kalon Gardner, who rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
Varnado's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for West St. John, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Varnado will head out to challenge Central Private at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West St. John, they will welcome Riverside Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West St. John is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 37.6 points per game this season.
