Softball Recap: Lima Central Catholic Falls Short of Waynesfield-Goshen in the Playoffs

Lima Central Catholic and Waynesfield-Goshen squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lima Central Catholic had to settle for second. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 back in March.

Lima Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Waynesfield-Goshen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Lima Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waynesfield-Goshen, they will square off against Southeastern Local on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.1, the Trojans 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
