Central proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 20) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-41 victory over the Gull Lake Blue Devils. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 46-29 back in December of 2024.

Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points over those games. As for Gull Lake, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will host Kalamazoo Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gull Lake, they will be playing at home against Lakeview at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeview will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Gull Lake surely won't give up without a fight.
