Basketball Recap: Chillicothe Comes Up Short

Chillicothe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 49-39 to the Jackson Ironman/Ironladies. The Cavaliers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Ironman/Ironladies earlier this season, when they won 29-24.

Chillicothe's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Jackson, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-17.

Chillicothe and Jackson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Chillicothe (ranked 675th) will meet Circleville (ranked 41st) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Jackson will square off against Belpre at 6:45 p.m. on Monday down 544 places (679 vs. 135).
