For North Pole's part, Simeon Langer was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Langer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.
