Basketball Game Preview: Blackstone-Millville Chargers vs. Prouty Panthers

The Blackstone-Millville Chargers will square off against the Prouty Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Tuesday, Blackstone-Millville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-53 to Sutton. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Prouty). They blew past Oxford 80-56 on Wednesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Panthers with their most commanding win of the season.

Prouty has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Blackstone-Millville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Everything came up roses for Blackstone-Millville against Prouty in their previous meeting back in February of 2019, as the squad secured a 67-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blackstone-Millville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
