Chattanooga Prep had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Van Buren County Eagles on Thursday as the Chattanooga Prep Sentinels made off with a 61-35 win. The Sentinels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chattanooga Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Derrick Roberson, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 13 boards. That's the most rebounds Roberson has posted since back in November of 2024. Cadence Collins was another key player, shooting 64% from the field en route to 20 points.

Chattanooga Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Chattanooga Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points over those games. Van Buren County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

Chattanooga Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Van Buren County, they are taking a road trip to take on Pickett County on Monday. Pickett County is on a six-game streak of home wins, Van Buren County a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
