Basketball Game Preview: Foxborough Warriors vs. Stoughton Black Knights

The Foxborough Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Stoughton Black Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Foxborough came up short against Oliver Ames and fell 53-44. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Stoughton lost to Mansfield on the road by a 60-41 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Black Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Hornets are ranked eighth).

Foxborough's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Stoughton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Foxborough couldn't quite finish off Stoughton when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 55-52. Can Foxborough avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
