While Las Plumas's win against Lassen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Las Plumas won by a run and slipped past Lassen 8-7. The victory was familiar territory for the Thunderbirds, who have now won seven matchups in a row.

Kendal Headley was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooklyn Atteberry, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Adriana Heredia, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Las Plumas' win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Lassen, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
