Basketball Recap: Lincoln Prep Takes a Loss

Lincoln Prep lost against Cedar Creek back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lincoln Prep Panthers were dealt a 50-11 defeat at the hands of the Cedar Creek Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 334th, while the Cougars are ranked 52nd).

Lincoln Prep dropped their record down to 2-16 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Cedar Creek, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 24-3.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers face off against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cedar Creek, they will take on Arcadia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arcadia will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Cedar Creek surely won't give up without a fight.
