Soccer Recap: Southwest Onslow Takes a Loss

Southwest Onslow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Pender Patriots, falling 4-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Pender this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on October 1st.

Southwest Onslow's goal came courtesy of Elijah Jenkins, who's now up to four this season.

Southwest Onslow's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Pender, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10-2 record this season.

Southwest Onslow didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Heide Trask on the 22nd. As for Pender, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 1-0 win against South Lenoir on the 22nd.
