The A.L. Brown Wonders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 59-45 bruising from Hickory Ridge. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for A.L. Brown in their matchups with Hickory Ridge: they've now lost eight in a row.

Despite the loss, A.L. Brown still got an impressive performance from Sadie Faulkner, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ayanni Flood, who scored eight points.

Hickory Ridge found their leader in underclassman Ma-kaela Gidney, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Gidney hasn't dropped below two steals for 16 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Miranda Duley, who scored five points along with 15 rebounds.

A.L. Brown has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Hickory Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

As for Hickory Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Mooresville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Mooresville: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Hickory Ridge has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
