Petersburg barely beat Hampshire the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings blew past the Trojans 10-3 on Wednesday. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

Petersburg pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Hampshire, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-13.

Coming up, Petersburg will take on East Hardy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hampshire, they will head out on the road to face off against Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
