Volleyball Recap: Potosi Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Potosi, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the River Ridge Timberwolves 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chieftains have posted since September 13th.

Potosi was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (109-107), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 15-25, 25-27, 25-21, 17-15.

Kylee Droessler was nothing short of spectacular: she had 30 digs and four assists. Those four assists gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Meier, who had 14 digs and one block.

Potosi pushed their record up to 12-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for River Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Potosi didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Juda on the 21st. As for River Ridge, after both having extra time off, they and Bangor will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Timberwolves are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
